Life is an abusive parent. It really is. We are all it's children, for without life we wouldn't be alive. But that doesn't mean it has to be easy on us.
How many times have you heard people say "Life sucks" or "Life is unfair"? How often are you deeply hurt by something, and someone tells you "that's Life". That Life is the one hurting us.
Furthermore, this Life is responsible for all of the rapings, beatings, suicides, crying, pain...would there be any if Life wasn't around? I think not. Instead, at its own whim, Life throws things at every person on the planet. Life knocks us down, and watches maliciously as a shapeless, faceless crowd walks by, tells us to get back up. Life can't be that bad, they say. And so, we get back up, and for a brief time we have hope that Life will have mercy and let us walk. Next thing we know, POW! Life throws trouble in our face. Every day, grandparents show their grandchildren the scars of Life on them. Life ruthlessly beats some people into the dirt, causes great tragedies for thousands of people worldwide. Those who scorn Life, though, face death, and thus Life is responsible for the deaths of thousands who could not stand up to Life.
